Reflections on the African American Experience through Everyday Dress

Rikki Byrd will explore everyday dress and the African American experience via artwork by Horace Pippin, Charles White, Allan Rohan Crite, John Steuart Curry, Walter Ellison and Elder Cortor.

These free, hour-long informal discussions offer insights into the Museum’s permanent collection and featured exhibitions. They take place in the galleries (unless otherwise noted) and are led by curators, museum educators, professors, artists, and other experts.
